This rare and wonderful performance of The Beach Boys singing famous Christmas hit “Little Saint Nick” will really take you back to simpler times, like say the 70’s perhaps? Performing this classic tune on their Shindig Special back in ’71, the surfer-friendly boys are on fire with their holiday hit- of course, in black and white!

“Well way up north where the air gets cold, there’s a tale about Christmas that you’ve all been told. And a real famous cat all dressed up in red and he spends all year workin’ out on his sled…”

As these boys were heavily influenced by cars when it came to their lyrics, why wouldn’t they be inspired by a sled around Christmastime? It just makes sense to give credit to the most badass, flying automobile ever made, right? Hence the guys painting the lyrics of Santa’s sleigh as a Nordic Hot Rod: candy apple red with a 4-speed stick.

Interesting Fact: “Little Saint Nick” was used in a popular Coke commercial featuring a moment of Christmas cheer between animated polar bears and penguins.
