Mystery Guy In Guitar Shop Channels Stevie’s Spirit For A Soulful Acoustic ‘Lenny’ Cover! | Society Of Rock Videos

What A Sweet, Soulful Performance!

Stevie Ray Vaughan gave the world an amazing gift when he wrote and recorded the instrumental ‘Lenny’, an ode to both his wife Lenora and his guitar that he also named Lenny. This guy – who prefers to remain anonymous – delivered a soulful, sweet rendition of ‘Lenny’ on an acoustic 6-string guitar he found in his local guitar shop and honestly? It’s beautiful.

Man, I wish the people jamming at Guitar Center were this talented instead of butchering Deep Purple’s ‘Smoke On The Water’!

What I love about this video is that there’s no focus on the guy’s face – all you can see are his hands as he strums the guitar lovingly and gently makes his way along the fretboard.

It’s almost like he knows how sacred Stevie’s legacy is, and to put less than 100% into a song that Stevie wrote about the two things he loved most would be sacrilege. This rendition is soft and sweet, and absolutely worthy of praise! I don’t know who this man is, but he is incredibly talented!
