Who Knew A Little ‘Superstition’ Would Change Everything?
A little “Superstition” goes a long way – if you’re singer-songwriter Grayson Erhard, that is! Performing in a hotel lobby as part of last weekend’s NAMM convention, Grayson picked up his acoustic guitar and began to jam Stevie Wonder’s 1972 classic “Superstition” and wound up receiving the shock of a lifetime when Stevie Wonder actually walked into the lobby having overheard Grayson’s little jam session.
Amazing, right? Understandably blown away, Grayson forgot the song’s second verse as Stevie took the stage and kindly joined in the impromptu jam of his own song, whispering the missing lyrics to Grayson and happily trading verses with him to the delight of the small crowd that had gathered before them.
Guys, if this isn’t a classic case of dreams coming true, I don’t know what is! Hopefully Grayson’s chance meeting with Stevie Wonder will inspire other singers and songwriters to take their crafts to the streets – after all, you never know who you’re going to meet!
