Stevie Nicks surprised her fans during a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City by revealing her very own Barbie doll.

After performing her song “Bella Donna,” Nicks brought the doll onto the stage to share with the audience. She mentioned that Mattel, the company behind Barbie, had approached her about this project a year ago, and she had some heartfelt questions about whether the doll would truly capture her essence.

Nicks later posted pictures of the doll on her social media, and she couldn’t contain her excitement about the project. She explained that when she looks at Barbie, dressed in an outfit reminiscent of her iconic Rumours-era style, it brings back vivid memories of her younger self. It’s as if the doll serves as a time capsule, reminding her of the incredible journey she has been on since 1975.

Nicks feels an emotional connection to the doll, seeing it as a representation of both her past and present self. She described it as a way to reflect on the battles she has fought and the lessons she has learned throughout her career, all shared with her dedicated fans. She said:

“I am her, and she is me. She absolutely has my heart.”

During the concert, Nicks passed the doll to a fan named Sara, making the moment even more special. She even sang a few lines from one of her iconic Fleetwood Mac songs that shares the same name as her Barbie doll.

It’s worth noting that Nicks joins a list of rock artists who’ve had Barbie dolls created in their likeness. This includes David Bowie, who had dolls inspired by his Ziggy Stardust persona and his appearance in the “Life on Mars?” video. There was also a limited edition Elton John Barbie released in 2020.
