It’s been a news packed, bittersweet week for socialite and reality tv star Khloe Kardashian, who just this morning gave birth to her first child – a girl, with Tristan Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 31-year-old tv star went into labor in the middle of a high profile scandal in which her boyfriend Thompson was found to be cheating on her as recently as a week ago, and it seems like everyone and their grandmother has had something to say about the matter.

That includes Sharon Osbourne, one of the stars of hit daytime talk show The Talk. The 65-year-old wife, mom, and manager chimed in on Khloe Kardashian’s unfortunate situation, offering up the kind of perspective that only a mother – and a woman whose own husband was found to be cheating on her with no less than 6 women back in 2016 – can.

Sharon admitted that while she doesn’t know “what goes on between the two of them,” Thompson’s history of getting involved with other women while he’s got a pregnant girlfriend at home is enough to raise every red flag she has. Guest host Piers Morgan asked her how she would handle the situation if daughter Kelly, 33, found herself in Khloe Kardashian’s shoes, and Sharon’s answer speaks to her decades of experience in the music industry and as the wife of one of the biggest rockstars on the planet.

“If Kelly had come home to you and said, ‘I just got together with a guy who’s left his last girlfriend and she’s pregnant’. Would alarm bells not have rung? Would you not have said to her, just be very careful here?” asked Morgan.

“I would have, especially doing what he does. It’s like they’re the new rock stars,” she responded. “It would have been like being in the 70s and going with a rock star and you go, oh be careful.”

Sharon’s perspective is interesting, and you can hear the years of experience coloring her words.

Her own experience as a woman whose husband put her through the wringer as recently as two years ago reminds us that for as different as she and Khloe Kardashian are, they’re part of the same club.
