Sharon Osbourne Honored at Billboard Power 100

Seven months after the death of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, his widow Sharon Osbourne was honored at the Billboard Power 100 Party in Los Angeles. On January 28, 2026, the 73-year-old music manager accepted the Clive Davis Visionary Award at Zouk Los Angeles, presented by industry leaders including Clive Davis, Michelle Anthony, and Billboard executive director Leila Cobo. The award recognizes an influential figure in music, and Sharon took the stage with deep emotion as she spoke about her long career and her late husband’s influence.

Sharon’s speech blended personal memories with reflections on her time in the music business. She said when she entered the industry at age 15, her focus was never on awards. “I never set out to win awards for myself,” she told the audience. “I believed that privilege belonged to the artist that I would one day manage.” She explained that her goal was always to help talented performers rise and to understand real artistry.

Remembering Ozzy Osbourne

Her remarks turned heartfelt when she spoke about Ozzy Osbourne, who died on July 22, 2025, at age 76 just weeks after Black Sabbath’s final concert. “Everything he did, he did his way,” she said. “He was wild. He was creative. He wrote some of the best melodic lines in heavy metal… Nobody would be melodic in metal except for Ozzy Osbourne.” She added, “There will never, ever be another Ozzy f—ing Osbourne in this industry again.”

Sharon shared a vivid memory of meeting Ozzy for the first time when she was 18. She recalled his look and his unexpected energy on stage at London’s Marquee club. At first unsure of what she was seeing, she said by the second song she knew she had never heard anything like it. “It was electric. The sweat was pouring down the walls,” she said, recalling the moment.

She also spoke about her father’s influence on her career, noting both good and bad lessons. She thanked him for teaching her about the music business, even though she disagreed with how he treated artists. Sharon said her father’s philosophy was to make stars and take the money, but she chose to manage legend Ozzy Osbourne the right way.

Throughout her speech, Sharon’s pride in Ozzy’s legacy was clear. She spoke about his creativity and how he stood out in an industry full of talent. Her words were met with applause as the event honored her life in music as well as Ozzy’s profound impact.
