Santana feat. Samuel Rosa – “Saideira” Live
Santana Spiced Up Everyone’s Day As He Performed Live In GMA!
Change is constant and that’s one of the things I like about Carlos Santana. Though he started out fusing Latin music with classic rock, he has evolved since then. His versatility is possibly his most famous attribute and people love that they have witnessed (and listened) to a wide variety of genre that Santana has played in. He can do a soulful instrumental in one minute and go pop/rock in another. It’s a constant surprise that keeps his fans at the edge of their seats.
“I’m not at all into becoming a twilight-zone jukebox prisoner of the Sixties,” he said in an interview with the Rolling Stone magazine.
The fast, uptempo beat of “Saideira” will remind you of one of his greatest hits which is “Smooth.” Santana has a way of transcending boundaries and blending musical styles to create one unique tune or melody. It’s an impressive talent. He’s not just skilled with playing the guitar but he knows what people want to hear and he delivers it to them in a wonderful package.
This particular track is included in his album “Corazón” which was released on May 6 last year. It received double platinum status in the United States. It has also earned several praises from critics.
Relix’s Bill Murphy considered Santana’s guitar playing in the album to be the “best he’s done in decades” and felt that “where too many cooks may have overwhelmed Supernatural, Corazón simmers with spicy variety”.
Man, when you think of Santana, you think of nothing but great music!
