In anticipation of the current tour, Sammy Hagar shares which Van Halen album gets the expanded reissue treatment. He also shared that the band he assembled for his current tour commemorating his time with Van Halen will collaborate on a new album.
At present, Sammy Hagar is leading the Best of All Worlds Tour along with Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Ray Thistlethwaite, performing and celebrating the music of Van Halen’s music in honor of the late guitarist Eddie Van Halen.
In a recent interview with The Bogus Otis Show (below), Hagar confirmed that his bandmates have considered writing new music. “Yes. I guarantee it,” he said, adding: “I don’t know when and why because records don’t sell!”
He went on:
“I’ve made a couple of [the] best records of my life, the last two solo records (2019’s Space Between and 2022’s Crazy Times), and they’re lucky to sell 50, 60,000. You go and make a record nowadays just to lose a couple hundred thousand bucks.
“It’s all good – but, you know, I need a tax write-off, so it really helps. I go, ‘Look, I made too much this year… let’s go make a record!’”
Hagar mentioned Van Halen’s 1995 album Balance – showcasing his voice for the last time – will be on the reissued schedule. “Don’t Tell Me (What Love Can Do),” “Can’t Stop Lovin’ You,” “Amsterdam” and “Not Enough.” are one of the singles that were highlighted in the album.

In that year’s pay-per-view concert, he laid out the plans that were asked, filmed in Toronto and shown in Canada and later in the United States. It was supposed to be scheduled for a commercial release but never happened due to his departure from the band.
Hagar replied:
“I didn’t know about that.
“So I’ll bring that up. That’s a very good idea.”
