Roger Daltrey Announces Live And Kicking Solo Tour

The Who’s Roger Daltrey is embarking on a solo US tour this year. Backed by The Who’s touring band, his setlist will be a mix of The Who classic hits, a couple of deep cuts, and also songs from his solo career.

“Roger Daltrey is delighted to announce that he and members of the Who touring band will be on the road late summer 2021 performing some Who hits, a few rarities and some solo hits,” the announcement read. “So far, three dates have been announced with several more to follow.”

The Who were supposed to go on a trek in 2020 in support of their latest album but as with everyone else, their touring plans were derailed by the global health crisis. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, guitarist Pete Townshend revealed that Daltrey is itching to go back on the road. He said, “When I speak to him, he just goes, ‘I just wanna get out there and sing! I can’t use my voice! It’s my instrument! If I don’t use it, I’ll die!'”
