Rod Stewart, the famous rock star, is showing that being called “Sir” means more to him than just a fancy title. In a recent chat with Britain’s Hello magazine, he talked about how he wants to use his knighthood to do good things for others.
Stewart said:
“For me, being a knight isn’t about resting on your laurels.
“It’s about going forward and getting things done. I believe in making the most of my knighthood where I can.”
Stewart also shared that he isn’t very religious, but he believes in being kind and doing good things for others. He joked that he sometimes prays for his favorite football team, Celtic when they’re doing well.
He and his wife Penny Lancaster are big fans of King Charles, not just because he’s a king, but because he’s known for being kind and helpful to others. Stewart thinks highly of King Charles, calling him humble and a true gentleman.
Recently, Stewart released an album called Swing Fever with his friend Jools Holland. They’ve been buddies for a while, and Stewart even talked about starting a campaign to get Holland knighted too. Stewart explained:
“I could start the ball rolling.
“There’s a committee that you write to. They look at it and make sure he hasn’t been in prison and has paid all of his taxes. We just need a few people.”
For Stewart, being a knight is more than just a title – it’s a chance to do good and help others, and he’s taking it seriously.
