The Ultimate Showman

Robert Plant has always been one of the best frontmen in the history of rock ‘n roll. Every single time he takes the stage, there’s so much energy emanating from him that gaping in awe is a perfectly normal reaction trust me. 🙂 He served as huge influence to fellow iconic rockstars Freddie Mercury and Axl Rose. And what else? Rolling Stone magazine ranked him as the GREATEST OF ALL LEAD SINGERS. He’s charismatic and exudes all the things that make up a rock god.

In 1994, during his “Unledded” tour with Jimmy Page, Plant himself reflected tongue-in-cheek upon his Led Zeppelin showmanship:

“I can’t take my whole persona as a singer back then very seriously. It’s not some great work of beauty and love to be a rock-and-roll singer. So I got a few moves from Elvis and one or two from Sonny Boy Williamson II and Howlin’ Wolf and threw them all together.”

Did age slow him down? Nope. And watching this video just made us more excited for his appearance in the upcoming Desert Trip Festival. Can’t wait!
