Ringo Starr has announced a new EP titled “Change the World”. It’s a four-track set that arrives on September 24 via UMe. Recorded at Starr’s Roccabella West home studio, he teamed up with several artists and songwriters.
Its lead single, “Let’s Change the World” was penned by Toto members Joseph Williams and Steve Lukather, both of whom are also featured on the track. “Just That Way” was a collaborative effort between Starr and his longtime engineer Bruce Sugar. For “Coming Undone”, Starr worked with massively successful songwriter Linda Perry – the latter wrote and played on the song. Lastly, Starr’s take on “Rock Around the Clock” features fellow rock legend and good friend Joe Walsh on guitar.
“I’ve been saying I only want to release EPs at this point and this is the next one,” Starr said in a press release. “What a blessing it’s been during this year to have a studio here at home and be able to collaborate with so many great musicians, some I’ve worked with before and some new friends.”
The four-track EP will be available digitally, and on CD and cassette. It will also be released on a 10-inch vinyl on November 19. It’s now available for preorder.
