Richie Sambora, the iconic guitarist and co-founder of Bon Jovi, has been hinting at the possibility of a reunion with the band he left in 2013. In a recent interview with People, Sambora expressed his desire for a comeback, stating firmly that “it’s time,” especially given that this year marks the band’s 40th anniversary.

While the prospect of a reunion remains uncertain, Sambora shared some exciting news.

He confirmed that a Bon Jovi documentary is currently in the works, a project he has actively participated in. Sambora believes that the documentary, along with the band’s music, has the power to make fans happy, emphasizing that ultimately, it’s the fans’ enjoyment that matters most.

Underlining the importance of bringing joy to the fans, Sambora stated:

“There’s a documentary that’s being done about the band and stuff that I’ve participated in, and people want to come see us play, and it’s going to make everybody happy.”

Reflecting on Bon Jovi’s legacy and their impact on people’s lives, Sambora expressed his hope that their music could continue to uplift and inspire. He believes in the transformative power of music, acknowledging how it kept him company and brought him solace during challenging times.

Highlighting the profound influence of music on people’s lives, Sambora remarked:

“I think that we wrote a lot of songs that changed a lot of people’s lives just by letting them have a good time. I know that’s what music did to me … kept me company. And I hope that I can reflect that in what I do.”

When asked about the possibility of a reunion, Sambora remained optimistic but realistic.

He acknowledged that it would be a significant undertaking, emphasizing that the timing had to be right for everyone involved. Despite the challenges, he firmly believes that the time is ripe for a reunion, especially considering how youthful he feels at 64 years old.

Sambora asserted, expressing his eagerness for a reunion:

“It’s time to do it, though. This is our 40th anniversary, but I feel younger than ever. I’m having a ball.”

Sambora’s last performance with Bon Jovi was in 2018 at their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since his departure in 2013, he has focused on family and personal endeavors.
