Phil Rudd On Axl Rose: “I Don’t Really Rate Him.”

Shots Fired
Former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was not included in last year’s lineup for the Rock or Bust tour because of legal problems in New Zealand namely drug conviction by being in possession of marijuana in 2012 and threatening to kill and drug charges in 2014. Just this year, after assuring everyone that he’s a changed man, he sat down with the New Zealand Herald and said:
“I’m not like that any more. I’ve never felt better as a drummer or a person. I am not saying I never hope of ever playing with AC/DC again but, then again, is it even AC/DC any more? No Bon [Scott]‘s beautiful voice. No Malcolm [Young]. No Brian [Johnson].”
And recently, he expressed his desire to play with the band but on one condition: he doesn’t want to share the stage with temporary frontman Axl Rose.
“If Angus (Young) wanted me to play then that’s up to him – but I don’t really want to play with Axl Rose. I don’t really rate him.”
After bassist Cliff Williams announced his retirement, we really don’t know where they’ll go from here. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
