Rock legend Jake E. Lee, known for his work as Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist, is recovering after being shot multiple times in a random attack in Las Vegas. The 67-year-old musician was walking his dog when the incident occurred, but fortunately, he is expected to make a full recovery.

A Random Shooting According to Authorities

According to a statement from his management, Lee was shot several times on a Las Vegas street early Tuesday morning. He was rushed to the hospital, where he remains in intensive care but is fully conscious and doing well. Authorities believe the shooting was completely random, and no further details have been released as the investigation is ongoing. Lee and his family have asked for privacy during this challenging time.

Jake E. Lee’s Iconic Career

Jake E. Lee rose to fame in the early 1980s when he joined Ozzy Osbourne’s band, stepping into some big shoes after the departure of Brad Gillis. He made his mark on the iconic Bark at the Moon album and co-wrote many songs on The Ultimate Sin. Despite dealing with pressure from fans comparing him to the late Randy Rhoads, Lee’s powerful guitar work earned him respect in the rock world.

In a 2018 interview, Lee opened up about the challenges he faced while touring with Osbourne, saying, “There was always a faction of ‘Randy rules, you suck,’ but it gave me tough skin.” Lee continued to thrive, forming the band Badlands in 1988 and later Wicked Alliance in the 1990s. Since 2014, he’s been a member of Red Dragon Cartel, releasing their latest album Patina in 2018.

Despite this frightening ordeal, fans are optimistic for Jake E. Lee’s recovery and hopeful for his return to the music scene. Many fans also sent their well wishes over the news on social media.
