We Won’t See Ozzy On The Road Ever Again

Sharon Osbourne, wife, and manager of Ozzy Osbourne, has shared plans for the legendary musician’s final farewell shows. Despite officially retiring from touring last year, Ozzy has expressed his desire to release one more album and go back on the road. Now, Sharon has revealed that Ozzy will perform two emotional farewell shows in his hometown of Birmingham. While he won’t embark on a full-time tour again, these special gigs are meant to provide a proper goodbye to his fans. Sharon emphasized that Ozzy feels he has never bid farewell properly and wants to rectify that with these shows.

“He won’t tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly’,” According to Sharon stated to Rolling Stone.

“We will do it in Aston Villa where Ozzy is from,” Sharon says. “His voice is still absolutely perfect. And all the time he has been off he still does his singing lessons so his voice is perfect. And he can joke, yeah.”

Sharon continued that Ozzy will probably never give up writing music even though his touring days are over. “He has all these melodies in his head. Even if you don’t like his music you can’t not like Ozzy, he just draws you in.’”

New Album and Canceled Shows

Ozzy Osbourne is expected to release a new album this year, adding to his recent prolific output. The former Black Sabbath frontman released his thirteenth solo album, “Patient Number 9,” in 2022, following the 2020 release of “Ordinary Man.” Both albums were produced by Andrew Watt, who is set to helm Ozzy’s upcoming, potentially final, studio record. Despite having to pull out of the Power Trip festival in California, Ozzy confirmed his retirement from touring in a heartfelt statement shared in January 2023.

Ozzy still has fire in his heart with all things going on with his health and farewell show. “Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way,” says Ozzy “My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.”

So probably if you’re near his hometown, you could still maybe catch him in the future. We’ll; just have to wait and see.
