Ozzy Osbourne‘s producer, Andrew Watt, revealed that the music legend has several unreleased tracks recorded with the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. Although there’s no concrete details that have been given yet, it has been confirmed that it will be released at some point.

In an interview, it is said that Watt enlisted two drummers for Patient Number 9. One is the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and the other one is Hawkins. Last March, the music industry was shocked by the sudden death of Hawkins. With that, Osbourne dedicated the album to him and, as per Watt, there are more recordings with Hawkins than Smith.

In addition to that, there’s also a bunch of other stuff with Osbourne and Hawkins that they will use for another thing. In the interview where Watt revealed the exciting news, Billy Morrison of Billy Idol also said that his longtime friend Osbourne didn’t get enough credit for his understanding of music. Morrison explained:

“Ozzy will sit and listen to a piece of music and he’ll point out a fucking cowbell that no one else has heard.

“And he’ll go, ‘That cowbell’s too loud.’ Or he’ll say, ‘There’s something up with the bass in the verse. And upon looking at it, the frequency’s wrong or some shit like that.’ He has an ear that hears everything. It’s really incredible. And I’ve got to tell you, having recorded songs with him, it’s mind-blowing.”
