Motley Crue has recently started practicing with their new touring guitarist John 5, in preparation for the band’s return to the stage next month with Def Leppard.
Following their original guitarist, Mick Mars’ recent retirement due to his ongoing battle with Ankylosing spondylitis, arthritis that affects the spine and gets worse over time, John 5, whose career includes extensive periods with Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie, is among the others who joined the band’s touring lineup.
On Twitter, Nikki Sixx recently wrote about their rehearsal:
“Band rehearsal starts back up next week and then a couple warm up shows in America before heading to Latin America to start the actual tour. After that we have Europe in the summer and a few more stadiums back in America. More to come in the fall-winter………”
Sixx also added on Instagram a post saying:
“42 years and I still get excited about the first day of band rehearsal. Here we go………..”
While John 5 replied to the bassist’s post. He said:
“I’m more excited can’t wait buddy.”
Meanwhile, on February 10 and 11, Motley Crue will perform for the first time with John 5, a week before the band’s 2023 globe stadium tour which will kick off in Mexico City on February 18.
