Mike Campbell Plans Big Summer Tour
Veteran guitarist Mike Campbell is preparing for another busy season on the road. The longtime member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will once again take his current band, The Dirty Knobs, across the United States for a summer tour set to begin July 7 in Minneapolis.
From there, the band will travel through several major music markets, including Chicago and Pittsburgh, bringing their gritty, roots-rock sound to fans along the way. The tour is scheduled to wrap up on July 24 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, closing out a three-week run that highlights Campbell’s ongoing evolution as a frontman and bandleader after decades spent as one of rock’s most respected sidemen.
Presale Details and Band Lineup
Fans hoping to catch the band live will have an early opportunity to secure tickets when the artist presale launches on March 11. Information regarding premium packages and other ticket options will be available through the band’s official website. General ticket sales are expected to follow shortly after, beginning March 13.
The current lineup of The Dirty Knobs features Campbell alongside fellow Heartbreakers alumnus Steve Ferrone on drums. Guitarist Chris Holt and bassist Lance Morrison round out the group, forming a seasoned quartet that blends classic rock swagger with a loose, bar-band spirit that reflects Campbell’s long-standing musical influences.
Joining the All-American Road Show
Campbell’s touring schedule doesn’t stop with the summer run. Later in the year, he and the Dirty Knobs will also appear as a supporting act on Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show, performing at the Oct. 2 concert in Bristow, Virginia.
The event will place the band alongside a strong lineup of contemporary roots and country artists, including Lainey Wilson, Molly Tuttle, Grace Potter, and Maggie Rose.
For Campbell, the appearance represents another chapter in a career that continues to bridge generations of American music. While he first earned global recognition as a cornerstone of the Heartbreakers’ sound, his work with the Dirty Knobs has allowed him to step further into the spotlight, proving that even after decades in rock and roll, the road—and the music—still holds plenty of creative fuel.
