The Concert Will Take Place This Fall

Metallica is set to play an “intimate” show on November 4 at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 30.

“We’re excited to add one more night to the tour calendar this fall,” the band said in a statement. “It feels so great to be making plans to hit the road and we can’t wait to see all of you out there. Keep watching this space… we have a few more shows in the works!!!”

Meanwhile, Metallica just announced their collaboration with Vans for a new footwear collection in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their Black Album. The designs for the SK8-Hi and Classic Slip-Ons feature artwork from Brian ‘Pushead’ Schroeder who previously worked with the band for T-shirt designs and the art cover for the St. Anger LP.

Also, guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo spoke to George Kontos about their upcoming 40th-anniversary celebrations.

“You know, what’s insane about all this is that there’s no shortage of musical ideas and riffs and grooves and bass lines,” Trujillo said. “A lot of times when bands have been around that long, there is a shortage — people run out of ideas — and we have the opposite problem; we’ve got too many ideas. So it’s a good problem to have.”
