Previously Unreleased – Listen To It Here

Chris Cornell’s estate has released his previously unheard cover of the Guns N’ Roses 1989 classic hit “Patience” on what would’ve been the late rocker’s 56th birthday last July 20. Produced by Brendan O’Brien, the Soundgarden frontman recorded it in March 2016 at the Henson Studios in Los Angeles.

His widow Vicky Cornell wrote on Facebook, “His birthday seemed the perfect time to share this and celebrate Chris, his voice, music, stories and art. It is true a man is not dead while his name is still spoken … and, through his art, an artist’s soul still burns just as bright as ever upon all those that look up to him and his memory. Releasing music that was special to Chris keeps a part of him here with us — his heart and his soul. His love and his legacy.”

Cornell’s kids are helping any way they can – Toni and Christopher teamed up with Addiction Policy Forum and the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation for the educational pilot program “Stop the Stigma” along with a podcast, and Lily launched a new podcast called “Mind Wide Open” that discusses mental health.

Listen to the song below which Vicky Cornell accurately described as “hauntingly beautiful.”
