KISS Biopic Will Feature More Of The Band’s First Four Years

It’s Gonna Be Interesting

Formed in 1973, KISS has been active in the music scene for almost five decades now. They have some of the most colorful, interesting, and at times controversial careers in rock ‘n roll. And so it’s understandable that their entire career would not be covered in their highly anticipated biopic titled “Shout It Out Loud”.

Their longtime manager Doc McGhee spoke to Talking Metal about which might be included in the film.

“Actually, we have a script that’s completely done,” he said. “And the script is about the first four years of KISS. Basically, it’s before they were famous — it was up to Cadillac High, that kind of thing.”

“And I think it’s a very interesting look at the formation of KISS,” he continued, “the mindset of how that came about, the social pressure that everybody was in in the ’60s and ’70s that brought something like KISS to the forefront, that it could actually happen. So it’s a very interesting, and I think it’s a well-written movie.”

The casting for the biopic hasn’t started yet, and they’re still finishing distribution deals in Europe and US. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are closely working with the production team, and it will be directed by Joachim Rønning.
