Kansas and 38 Special Announce 2026 Tour
Legendary American rock band Kansas has unveiled a new series of tour dates scheduled for the spring and summer of 2026, with many of the shows featuring a co-headlining appearance by 38 Special.
The newly announced eight-city trek will kick off on June 5 in Little Rock, Arkansas, before wrapping up on July 17 in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Throughout most of the run, Kansas and 38 Special will alternate headlining duties, allowing each band to close out the evening on different nights.
Fans eager to attend can access ticket presales beginning Wednesday. Additional ticket details are available through the band’s official website, where the complete list of tour dates has also been posted.
Kansas Moves Forward After a Challenging 2025
The expanded 2026 tour schedule comes after a difficult stretch for Kansas during the previous year. Lead vocalist Ronnie Platt stepped away from touring for a period in early 2025 following a diagnosis of thyroid cancer.
Fortunately, Platt’s recovery progressed smoothly, allowing him to return to the stage relatively quickly.
“It really feels like it was just a bump in the road,” Platt told UCR. “When I think about other friends who have gone through things like chemotherapy and being sick all of the time, I haven’t gone through that and I feel very lucky.”
He added that the experience served as an important reminder to pay attention to one’s health.
“I really feel lucky that Mother Nature sent me up a flag. You know, something told me, ‘Don’t put off seeing a doctor this time.’ The things that happened, the people that helped me and [those who] I met along the way were just amazing.”
With Platt back onstage and the band preparing for another busy touring season, Kansas appears ready to move past last year’s challenges and reconnect with audiences across the United States once again.
