In a recent interview with Esquire, Julian Lennon opened up about the rumors surrounding his relationship with brother Sean Lennon, bluntly dismissing any notion of a feud as “such bull.”

The elder son of John Lennon shared insights into their experience attending the 2021 Get Back premiere together.

Sean had reservations, feeling overwhelming pressure, but Julian decided to accompany him. Julian stated, “We’ve never had a fight in our life. It’s such bull.”

Acknowledging past friction within the family, especially amid the weight of the Beatles’ legacy, Julian emphasized the importance of portraying their happy moments. He posted pictures of him and Sean “smiling, laughing, and acting like idiots,” aiming for family peace.

Including Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and their children, Julian said, “families are always a bit screwed up.”

Julian also shared thoughts on “Hey Jude,” the iconic Beatles song written by McCartney for him during his parents’ divorce. Despite occasional frustrations, he appreciates the sentiment, saying, “there’s not a bad word I could say about it.”

Julian discussed his latest album, “Jude,” released in 2022. He explained that the title signifies breaking through fears about the Beatles, his father, and everything else, describing it as “the right title and the right thing.”
