John 5 expressed his excitement about some fresh music from Motley Crue, noting that working with producer Bob Rock made him reminisce about his days in a school garage band.

During a recent interview with Eddie Trunk on Sirius XM’s Trunk Nation, the newly joined guitarist stated that the band showed no signs of slowing down in the near future.

When inquired about the progress of the sessions, John 5 likened the experience to Metallica collaborating with Rock, where they were all present in a live room. This was a novel experience for him since he typically recorded in the studio control room.

According to 5, Bob would come into the room and propose, “Okay, let’s give this idea a try here, and that one here, and incorporate this element here.” He described the experience as truly remarkable.

Despite the modern advancements in technology, when they all gathered in that setting, it felt reminiscent of their high school days, working on songs in a garage. The experience was awe-inspiring, and they were able to document a substantial part of it on record.

Regarding the new material, the guitarist enthusiastically stated:

“The songs are extremely powerful… I’m so thrilled about them, I feel like an excited little kid. They possess an intense and aggressive quality. I can hardly wait for their release. I’m genuinely ecstatic.”

When asked by Trunk if they compared to Motley Crue’s work on their second album, John 5 responded by saying:

“There are some guitar riffs that surpass the heaviness of anything featured in ‘Shout at the Devil.'”

John 5 proceeded to mention that while he lacked knowledge of the specific release information, he was confident that they had crafted a few exceptionally impressive songs. He admitted uncertainty regarding their completion status but estimated they were likely around 98% finished.

Also, he clarified that the tracks still needed to undergo mixing and mastering processes. However, he emphasized that the music was intense and forceful, expressing his belief that fans would thoroughly enjoy it because, speaking as a fan himself, it was truly exceptional.

Regarding Crue’s future plans, the guitarist expressed optimism, stating that they intend to continue rocking with great enthusiasm. They have been performing exceptionally well lately, and there are discussions about numerous exciting prospects ahead.

Additionally, they also hope to sustain their momentum and continue pushing forward, potentially even reaching their 50th anniversary. The guitarist firmly believes that the band will persist since there haven’t been any talks about slowing down.
