Jimi Hendrix – “Hear My Train A Comin'” In A 12-String Acoustic Guitar Live | Society Of Rock Videos

Just Jimi Hendrix Jammin’ With His Guitar

This is a rare find! It’s an amazing clip shot by a professional featuring Jimi Hendrix casually playing a 12-sting acoustic guitar. As if you couldn’t love him more! He plays “Hear My Train A Comin'” and I personally love the relaxed and laid back vibe of the video. He would often perform this during his concerts and other live shows.

It appears on the posthumous album Blues, which was created from a long-lost master tape of Hendrix alone playing a 12-string acoustic right-hand guitar, strung for left hand and singing in a Delta blues manner.

While I’m used to seeing some of his videos shot while he was onstage, this one was quite different in a beautiful way. Why? I like the part where he said the camera was making him nervous. It felt like he was talking to YOU. I mean, at least that what I felt. It actually gave me goosebumps. Man, the talent is just oozing from him. It’s not just his technique but rather, his creativity. Notice the ease with which he strikes the strings and yet, you can FEEL the music. That is raw talent!

Just looking at him makes you want to grab a guitar and just play! He’s such an inspiration!
