Is Twisted Sister Returning Without Dee Snider? Possible Replacements Revealed

Twisted Sister’s highly anticipated 2026 reunion tour has been revived after initially being scrapped due to frontman Dee Snider’s health concerns. The band revealed that former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach will step in to handle lead vocal duties, ensuring the anniversary celebrations move forward.

A New Voice for the Anniversary Tour

On March 3, the band confirmed via social media that Bach would front the group for several select performances later this year. The shows mark Twisted Sister’s 50th anniversary and their first reunion in a decade, following their farewell tour in 2016.

In a statement posted to Instagram, the band shared their excitement about the collaboration.

“Twisted Sister members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda are thrilled to announce that iconic vocalist and frontman Sebastian Bach will be fronting the band for a handful of select dates this fall.”

Bach’s involvement brings together two towering personalities from the golden era of hard rock and glam metal, a pairing likely to spark curiosity among fans eager to see how the singer interprets Twisted Sister’s famously explosive catalog.

No Impact on Bach’s Solo Tour

Despite taking on the guest role with Twisted Sister, Bach’s existing touring plans will remain unaffected. The band clarified that the singer’s solo schedule across the United States will continue as planned.

“These appearances do not affect or conflict with Sebastian’s current or future solo touring schedule, which remains fully intact,” the group explained.

More details about the revamped tour are expected to emerge following an appearance by guitarist Eddie Ojeda on Eddie Trunk’s SiriusXM show later the same day. It remains unclear whether the concerts will follow the originally planned scale or shift to a more limited format in light of Snider’s absence.

Dee Snider Steps Back

The tour was first cancelled in early February when Twisted Sister disclosed that Snider had been dealing with degenerative arthritis for several years. With the condition affecting his ability to perform at the level he expects of himself, the singer made the difficult decision to step away from the run of shows.

“I don’t know of any other way to rock,” Snider said at the time. “The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I’d rather walk away than be a shadow of my former self.”

The announcement of Bach stepping in fulfills the band’s earlier promise that “the future of Twisted Sister will be determined in the next several weeks.”

Meanwhile, Snider has also addressed exaggerated rumors about his condition, assuring fans during a radio appearance that the situation is not as dire as some speculation suggested.

“The rumours have run wild that I am on my death bed,” he said. “I am not.”

With a new voice now leading the charge, Twisted Sister’s milestone celebration appears back on track—offering fans another chance to witness the band’s defiant, fist-pumping spirit live on stage.
