How Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Is Doing Bon Jovi Wrong

How Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Is Doing Bon Jovi Wrong | Society Of Rock Videos

In the ’80s, Jon Bon Jovi and the rest of the guys stole our hearts. At present, he still has them probably tucked somewhere in his multi-million home — not that we’d mind though. What we do mind is that the band still hasn’t been inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. Seriously, if anyone needs proof why they deserve a spot, I can give them one or two. No, scratch that. There are plenty of reasons.

First things first. They were propelled to stardom with their third album. Slippery When Wet dominated the top spot of the US Billboard 200 Album Chart for eight weeks! And if that’s not enough, it received Diamond Certification from the RIAA after selling more than 10 million copies in the US. That’s like 12x Platinum.

Okay, let that sink in.

Also, everyone can sing along to You Give Love A Bad Name and Livin’ On A Prayer. I mean, who doesn’t know where Tommy and Gina work?

When I said EVERYONE, yes even superheroes.

And even our furry and non-furry friends.

3. And let’s not forget that Jon Bon Jovi has been the stuff of women’s daydreams ever since he flashed his seductively toothy grin.

Come on, we went to concerts to feast our eyes on him — secondary to listening to great music of course.

They’ve performed more than 2,700 concerts in 50 countries!

That’s not supposed to be there… or is it?

Anyway in 2006, Bon Jovi became an inductee into the UK Music Hall of Fame — add that to the Award of Merit they received from the American Music Awards two years before. If you still need another reason, just remember that more than 30 years since their international commercial success, they’re still rockin’ our worlds.

It should be a crime to look that sexy.

But Jon is more than just a pretty face (and body and everything). In 2009, he and ex-band mate Richie Sambora were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

WHAT CAN THESE GUYS NOT DO?!

They have performed in front of over 34 million screaming fans worldwide and we are so in love with the boys, we might just get a tattoo.

Maybe not that one though.
