Since Slash and Duff McKagan reformed Guns N’ Roses in 2016, fans have been impatiently awaiting new music from the rock titans. The recent release of the Hard Skool EP and the anticipation surrounding their latest song, “Perhaps,” have only heightened this excitement.

Two brand-new songs that the band had been working on for more than ten years were featured on the Hard Skool EP that was released last year. The transparent vinyl edition of the EP contained a live performance of “Shadow of Your Love,” as well as live renditions of “Don’t Cry” and “You’re Crazy.”

About a month after there were signs that new music from GN’R was in the works, the band teased the songs “Perhaps” and “The General” on Instagram by posting pictures of the song titles written on sheets of paper.

Soon later, Tom Mayhue, a stage technician for Guns N’ Roses, was shown in a video giving a group of individuals information about the band’s impending plans. There will be new Guns N’ Roses music soon, Mayhue said at the time, adding that GN’R has already recorded a ton of material. He stated:

“I know that the band’s gonna start working on new music, they’ve got a bunch of stuff recorded already.”

As of August 17th, “Perhaps” has been officially aired on radio stations across the country, but it’s not yet available on streaming platforms.
