“The Piper’s Call” Video and Album Details
The video was made by Gavin Elder and shot in different places including Ely Cathedral, Gilmour’s houseboat studio called Astoria, and Brighton. In the video, you’ll see Gilmour, his co-producer Charlie Andrew, his wife Polly Samson, his children Romany and Gabriel, famous drummer Steve Gadd, bass player Guy Pratt, engineer Matt Glasbey, keyboard player Rob Gentry, assistant engineer Luie Stylianou, and a dog named Wesley.
The album “Luck And Strange” will surprise everyone because Richard Wright from Pink Floyd, who passed away, played in it. This was from a jam session back in 2007 at David’s house. The album was made in Brighton and London over five months.

Gilmour’s wife, Polly, wrote the lyrics again. She said, “It’s written from the point of view of being older; mortality is the constant.” Gilmour added, “We spent a load of time during and after lockdown talking about and thinking about those kind of things.”
“Luck And Strange” will come out as a black vinyl record, in a gatefold sleeve, and with a booklet that has photos and design by Anton Corbijn. It will also be available on CD with two extra tracks, and with a Corbijn-designed digipak and booklet, as well as on Blu-ray.
