George Harrison & Paul Simon’s “Here Comes The Sun” Will Brighten Your Day!
Little Darlin’
The most perfect duo we can imagine is George Harrison and Paul Simon and what a treat is to look back on their iconic “Here Comes The Sun” SNL performance back in ’76. Such beautiful voices and bright smiles are remembered with everlasting joy and respect as great artists that shared their hearts with the world.
“Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces. Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here, here comes the sun…”
Paul was a frequent guest on Saturday Night Live back in the day, so thank goodness he asked his old friend George Harrison to join him and share a classic Beatles tune that means so much to the world. As they calmly sit on wooden chairs with their guitars, their beautiful music and energy fills our hearts every time we listen…. especially this wonderful and peaceful performance.
Interesting Fact: George Harrison wrote this in Eric Clapton’s garden using one of Clapton’s acoustic guitars. Harrison sang lead vocals, played acoustic guitar and used his newly acquired Moog synthesizer on this track. It was one of the first pop songs to feature a Moog.
As we look back on all of the beautiful compositions these two men have brought the world with their creativity and open hearts, we thank them for sharing it with us and filling our hearts and minds with hope for a better world.
