Uh Oh!
Say what you want about Gene Simmons, but never let it be said that he hasn’t worked his ass off for what he has or that he’s even remotely ungrateful for any of it. The child of a Holocaust survivor who came to the United States with his mother at the age of 8, when it comes to what he calls “The Beverly Hills Blues” Gene Simmons isn’t one to suffer fools gladly, something he made implicitly clear last week when a TMZ reporter caught him and asked him what he thought about Justin Bieber’s cancellation of his Purpose Tour.
The 23-year-old pop sensation bowed out of his own tour just a few short weeks ago, citing exhaustion and drawing the ire of fans and the ridicule of Gene Simmons who advised that Bieber “get a life” and enumerated all of the reasons why he’s got absolutely nothing to complain about in the grand scheme of things. Gene’s rant wasn’t all ridicule and fire – before singing “The Beverly Hills Blues” song he made up on the spot, he made sure to wish Bieber well, reminding everyone – and himself – that at 23, he’s still young and he’s got lots of fans; he’ll figure it out eventually.
Check out Gene’s rant in the video below and don’t forget to sound off in the comments: what advice would you offer Justin Bieber?
