Fleetwood Mac is set to release a live album from their 1982 tour in support of their Mirage album later this year. The new collection, titled Mirage Tour ’82, features 22 tracks recorded during two sold-out shows at the Los Angeles Forum.
The 1982 U.S. tour, which covered 31 cities, was in support of Mirage, Fleetwood Mac’s fourth consecutive multiplatinum album and third No. 1 in the U.S. The live recordings from these performances offer a vibrant snapshot of the band at the height of their popularity. Rhino’s press release highlights that both shows were recorded, and Mirage Tour ’82 merges the best of both into one concert experience.
Fans can get a taste of the album with a previously unreleased live version of “Don’t Stop,” available below. The album will be released on September 20 and will be available in 3LP, 2CD, and digital formats.
This release offers a glimmer of joy for fans, especially after recent news from Stevie Nicks, who stated that “there’s no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together” following Christine McVie’s death in 2022. McVie’s last performance with the band was in 2019, during a tour that excluded Lindsey Buckingham, who was let go in 2018. The band continued with Crowded House’s Neil Finn and Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
