According to the New York Post, there’s buzz that the Eagles will be heading to Las Vegas for a residency at the Sphere later this year.
Sources have revealed that the band is anticipated to spend ten weeks in Sin City, from September to December. However, details regarding the number of shows and the specifics of the agreement remain undisclosed.
When approached for comment, a representative for the state-of-the-art venue chose not to confirm the rumor, stating:
“We do not comment on any artists performing at Sphere except for those who have been announced.”
If the Eagles take the stage at the Sphere, it will mark an extension of their ongoing Long Goodbye tour, which is set to conclude on June 15 in Arnhem, Netherlands. The farewell journey commenced in September 2023 and is projected to continue until 2025. Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill, and Deacon Frey are committed to accommodating their audience’s demand by performing as many shows as necessary in each market, as per a press release.
The Eagles won’t be the first veteran musicians to grace the Sphere’s stage. Recently, the venue bid farewell to U2 after their Achtung Baby Live residency from late September to early March. Ahead of the Eagles, Phish is scheduled for a four-night stint in April, followed by Dead & Company, who will play over a dozen dates in May and June. The jam band has promised to deliver “never-before-seen visual storytelling” along with a “unique” set list for each weekend’s trio of performances.”
