The 2026 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has released its lineup, and organizers confirmed that some of rock’s most familiar names will appear. The festival will run at the New Orleans Fair Grounds from April 23 through May 3, bringing a wide mix of performers.
Next year’s headliners include Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Rod Stewart, David Byrne, and the Black Keys. Their sets will anchor the multi-day schedule and draw fans who have followed these artists for decades, as well as younger listeners discovering them.
Four-day passes go on sale December 12, giving visitors time to plan which dates they want to attend. As with last year’s event, Louisiana residents will have access to discounted tickets on April 23 and April 30, offering local fans a lower-cost way to participate.
Festival officials noted that this year’s roster stretches far beyond the headline acts. Tedeschi Trucks Band, Earth, Wind & Fire, Herbie Hancock, Mavis Staples, the Isley Brothers, Cyril Neville, Rhiannon Giddens, Little Feat, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, and St. Vincent are among the artists set to perform.
The festival website includes the schedule, listing when each act will take the stage. Fans can review updated information there and map out their days in advance, especially if they want to see several acts performing on different stages throughout the grounds.
Organizers say the mix of genres helps keep the event open to a broad audience. Music fans who attend year after year often plan full weekends around these shows, and many visitors travel from outside Louisiana to catch artists they rarely get to see live.
One of the most discussed parts of the lineup is the Eagles’ appearance. It will be the group’s first show outside the Sphere in Las Vegas since 2024, ending a long stretch in which their performances were tied to that venue. Their residency there will close in March 2026.
Rod Stewart will play the festival during his farewell tour, giving long-time listeners a chance to see him as he winds down his touring schedule. David Byrne will also be on a global run promoting his recent album, Who Is the Sky?, which he has highlighted in recent shows.
At this time, the festival stands as Stevie Nicks’ only confirmed appearance for 2026. Fans who follow her work will likely watch for new updates, but for now, the New Orleans date remains the sole listing on her schedule for the coming year.
Jazz Fest officials said they expect large crowds across the week and a half of performances. With artists spanning rock, blues, funk, soul, and folk, the festival will offer music across multiple stages, giving visitors choices as they move through the grounds.
