With Black Sabbath’s farewell concert fast approaching, frontman Ozzy Osbourne isn’t just feeling emotional—he’s wondering if it might be the last thing he ever does. The band is scheduled to play their final show next month at Villa Park in Birmingham for the Back to the Beginning event, and Ozzy is feeling the pressure.
“If It’s the Last Thing I Do…”
Speaking on SiriusXM, the 76-year-old rocker didn’t hold back about his anxiety over the big night. “By hook or by crook, I am going to make this f—— gig if it is the last thing I do. Well, it will be,” he said. His words were half-joking, half-serious—but clearly came from a deep place.
Ozzy also opened up about his struggles with ADHD and how his racing thoughts often overwhelm him.
“My head is crazy. ADHD, I have that badly. I will have done the show and died a death before I even started my exercises, so I try and put it on the back burner.”
He admitted he even tried talking himself out of the gig:
“I talked myself into blowing the gig. It was only two bloody songs. Sharon goes: ‘Just don’t think about it.’ I obsess about a bloody bird c—— on my show.”
And people might be surprised but even with decades of experience, Ozzy still gets nervous before a show.
“Believe you me, I still get stage fright. As soon as you get on stage, it’s like s— or bust.”
No Holding Back
Despite his anxiety, Ozzy promises to give fans everything he’s got. He’s not about to go out quietly. The rock icon, never one to miss a good joke, finished with one of his signature quips:
“Ask him upstairs. In my case, the one below.”
Black Sabbath’s last ride is shaping up to be both powerful and personal—and Ozzy’s going all in.
