Deep Purple are now sharing a previously-unreleased 2005 video performance of their song, “Rapture of the Deep.”
Following the recent release of “Demon’s Eye,” the title track to their 18th studio album, “Rapture of the Deep” is the latest addition to their series of remastered videos put up for streaming. The band claimed that this live video has not been released on any Deep Purple CD. They wrote on the video’s description:
“From the Vault: This restored video was filmed on September 3, 2005 at Polo Express, Düsseldorf, Germany. It was recorded for the TV promotion of the studio album “Rapture Of The Deep”
“The title track was played live nearly every night during this tour and it became a solid presence in the band´s repertoire for many years to come (right up to today).
We hope you enjoy it!”
Meanwhile, Deep Purple are set to resume their 2022 tour on September 23 with an appearance at Spain’s Stone Music Festival with dates scheduled in late November.
The band recently updated their fans that their guitarist, Steve Morse, has left the band after more than 25 years to care for his wife who is battling stage 4 cancer. The singer and guitarist Simon McBride stepped in to cover for Morse earlier this year before the change became permanent. Watch the video below.
