Grohl Did It Again

Dave Grohl once again proved he’s the nicest guy in the music industry – you know, in case you need a reminder. He lent his iconic Foo Fighters throne to Greyhawk bassist Darin Wall. Wall was injured earlier this month at a gig in Boise, Idaho after he stopped a mass shooting and selflessly protected the audience.

Wall first spotted a man named Ethan Byrd acting suspiciously outside the venue and making “finger gun” motions to the crowd. Wall stopped Byrd from entering, and the latter pulled out his gun. Wall tackled him and was shot in the leg. Wall was at home recovering when he commented about Grohl’s throne.

Once Grohl found out about it, he called Wall while he was still attending MTV VMA Awards. Grohl then shipped it at his own expense.

On September 26, Wall returned to the stage. He later posted a photo of himself sitting on the throne.

“It was beyond a thrill to sit in Dave Grohl from @foofighters throne last night,” Wall wrote. “Of course I wish it never happened, and that this bullet was not in my leg, but the love and support the rock and metal community has shown is staggering. Words can’t describe how moving this night was. Thank you all!”
