Exciting news is on the horizon for AC/DC fans, as lead vocalist Brian Johnson recently hinted at the possibility of the iconic rock band working on new material. Since the release of their last studio album, ‘Power Up,’ in 2020, the band has kept a low profile regarding their future recording plans. However, during a recent interview on the Fuelling Around podcast, Johnson shared some optimistic insights about the band’s creative endeavors.

In the interview, Johnson revealed that AC/DC’s participation in the Power Trip Festival, their first live show since 2016, might pave the way for new music.

He expressed his eagerness about the band reuniting and how their creative energy seemed to be flowing once more:

“It does take a lot of time to get a band like AC/DC together again. Most of the crew were out working with other people. Trying to get those guys back together again was tough, but I’ve got my fingers crossed – everything is going ok. The most important thing about it all is the eagerness we all feel; the juices are running again.”

Reassembling a band of AC/DC’s stature is no small feat, considering the members’ involvement in other projects.

However, Johnson remains hopeful, emphasizing the enthusiasm they all share and the renewed creative spark within the group:

“The most important thing is the enthusiasm we all share; the creative spark is reignited.”

Johnson also expressed his excitement about sharing the stage with other music icons at the upcoming Power Trip Festival, including Ozzy Osbourne, Guns N’ Roses, and Metallica. He sees this gathering of rock and roll legends as a powerful statement reaffirming the genre’s enduring influence:

“It’s going to be a fantastic event. I’ll have the opportunity to reconnect with my old pals, particularly with Ozzy coming out of retirement. The Guns N’ Roses boys, the Metallica boys, and the Iron Maiden boys – all in one place, it’s going to be one hell of a party! The festival will be held in a breathtaking valley near Coachella, although I prefer to stay out of that kind of thing. I just want to show up, give it my all, and rock the stage until I can’t anymore.”

With Brian Johnson’s optimism and the band’s eagerness, AC/DC fans have every reason to anticipate new music and an electrifying reunion on stage in the near future. Stay tuned for more updates from these rock legends!
