Brian Johnson, the iconic frontman of AC/DC, has set fans’ hopes soaring by suggesting that the legendary rock band might hit the road once more to support their latest album, “Power Up,” released in 2020.

AC/DC’s upcoming headline performance at the Power Trip festival in California this October has ignited anticipation for more electrifying shows.

In a recent interview on the Fuelling Around podcast, Johnson shared insights into the band’s journey of reuniting after the tumultuous onset of the pandemic in early 2020. He expressed his excitement, saying:

“I’m so excited because three years ago we did get together [before] ‘Power Up’ the album came out.”

The singer recalled their rehearsals in Amsterdam, where the band rediscovered its tight-knit musical chemistry.

However, the pandemic disrupted their plans. Johnson humorously referred to it as “the Chinese Flu” and how it led to a pause in their reunion.

Reuniting AC/DC, a legendary rock powerhouse, wasn’t a simple task. Johnson emphasized the importance of the eagerness they all feel to hit the stage again, and he’s keeping his fingers crossed for more performances.

Regarding the Power Trip festival, Johnson described it as a fantastic event celebrating rock and roll.

He expressed excitement about sharing the stage with other rock legends like Ozzy Osbourne, GUNS N’ ROSES, METALLICA, and IRON MAIDEN, creating a monumental rock party in a beautiful desert valley near Coachella.

“We decided to do this wonderful show that they’ve put together out in the desert near Palm Springs, near Coachella.”

“It’s all rock and roll bands. It’s fantastic. I think it’s just a statement to say that rock and roll is a legitimate form of music. It really has made a difference. Ozzy [Osbourne] is coming out of retirement so I’ll be able to see my old pals again. The GUNS N’ ROSES boys, the METALLICA boys and the IRON MAIDEN boys — all in one field. Boy, what a party!”

“It’s going to be in a beautiful valley, near Coachella, but I don’t get involved in that kind of thing. I just like to turn up, get up and just rock my little socks off until I drop.”

Brian Johnson’s words hint at AC/DC’s readiness to rock again, and fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to witness their electrifying performances once more.
