A Tribute Fit For A King
The future may be uncertain for AC/DC these days but it looks like there’s one person who isn’t even remotely conflicted as to what the future holds: former drummer Phil Rudd. Anticipating his first ever solo tour in support of his 2014 album Head Job and keeping a weather eye on the horizon after narrowly dodging legal issues that could have landed him in jail, Rudd will be spending a few days in Kirriemuir, Scotland this spring to help celebrate the life, legacy, and career of his late friend and bandmate Bon Scott at Scott’s annual Bonfest.

Like many others who knew and loved Bon, Phil took the February 19, 1980 death of his friend incredibly hard and nearly 37 years later misses the energy, life, and raw talent that was the 33-year-old AC/DC frontman, so what better way to celebrate the brief 33 years with him than to join AC/DC fans from around the world as they converge on small town Kirriemuir around the brand new Bon Scott memorial and dish up some AC/DC classics as played by a man who actually played on them? Bonfest takes place April 28-30th and fans can see Phil’s performance on the evening of Friday, April 28th. Tickets are selling fast, so to our friends across the pond: get ’em now!
