Blondie have announced to teamed up with British punk rock band The Damned and hit the road for a U.S. tour this summer 2022.
Against the Odds tour will kick off on August 12 in Mashantucket, Connecticut and runs through August 27 in Chicago. The 10-date tour includes shows in Boston, New York, D.C., Nashville, and Detroit as well.
Presale tickets for the August shows had begun on Wednesday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. local time (using code AGAINSTTHEODDS) via Ticketmaster, followed by a general public on sale this Friday, March 4th.
Blondie will also be playing a series of concerts in the U.K. in April and May before starting the U.S. leg, including an appearance at Pasadena’s Cruel World Fest with acts like Morrissey, Bauhaus, Devo, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Psychedelic Furs, Violent Femmes and others.
In 2014, drummer Clem Burke said that the Blondie’s touring days could be coming to an end, explaining to Uncut:
“As for the rumors of the last tour, we’ve decided we’ll live forever. But Debbie [Harry], is older than me and has hinted it could be time. Obviously, without her, there is no Blondie.”
Since then, the band has taken on several tours, including a co-headlining run with Elvis Costello in 2019.
