Billy Idol Brings Back the Road Show With Newly Announced Dates
Billy Idol is set to extend his current tour across the United States, adding a new round of concerts scheduled to begin August 7 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The additional performances continue his It’s A Nice Day To … Tour Again! run, which has drawn steady crowds since it first launched in April 2025.
The upcoming stretch will take Idol through several regions, with stops planned in states including Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, and Texas. The tour is expected to wrap on September 27 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, marking another busy season for the veteran performer.
Ticket Access and Touring Approach
Promoters have outlined a staggered ticket release. A presale for Citi cardholders is set to open Wednesday at noon local time, while general sales will begin Friday. Organizers expect strong interest, as classic rock tours continue to attract audiences across multiple generations.
Idol’s live shows remain closely tied to his longtime collaborator Steve Stevens. The guitarist has worked with Idol since the early 1980s, helping define a sound that blends elements of punk with mainstream rock. Their partnership produced hits such as “Rebel Yell” and “White Wedding,” songs that still appear regularly in concert setlists.
Las Vegas Residency on the Calendar
In addition to the traveling tour, Idol has scheduled a residency in Las Vegas. The series of shows, titled Hot in the City, will take place at Fontainebleau Las Vegas from August 28 through September 5. The residency adds another major engagement to his performance schedule.
Residencies have become a common option for established artists, allowing them to perform multiple nights in one venue while offering fans a destination experience. Idol’s Las Vegas dates are expected to follow the same format as his touring shows, combining well-known material with selections from later in his career.

Recognition and New Film Project
The expanded tour comes as Idol receives renewed attention within the music industry. He is among the nominees for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with the 2026 class set to be announced during a live broadcast of American Idol on April 13.
At the same time, a documentary titled Billy Idol Should Be Dead is now streaming on Hulu. Directed by Jonas Åkerlund, the film examines Idol’s rise during the MTV era, along with struggles he faced later in life. Reflecting on the project, Idol said revisiting those years allowed him to look back without changing the facts, offering a clearer view of his career.
