7-Year-Old Avery Has Us Longing For The Weekend With His Cover Of “Working For The Weekend”!

Avery’s Working For The Weekend!
You know, it’s really awesome that now 8-year-old Avery Molek shares his drum covers with us – we get to see how incredibly talented this young man is, and we also get to see him just enjoying his favorite music! This performance features Avery playing Loverboy’s anthem for the working class ‘Working For The Weekend’ and I don’t know what I love more: the song itself, or the huge grin on Avery’s face while he plays and sings along.
It’s one thing to be an incredibly talented kid, but another thing entirely to let yourself fully enjoy it the way Avery does!
Avery makes his own song selections, and from what mom and dad can tell, he chooses his songs based on what he likes, not on what has the coolest or most difficult drum parts.
Honestly, if this fun performance doesn’t leave you longing for the weekend, I don’t know what will – it’s that good!
+ Working For The Weekend lyrics +
Everyone’s watching, to see what you will do
Everyone’s looking at you, oh
Everyone’s wondering, will you come out tonight
Everyone’s trying to get it right, get it right
Everybody’s working for the weekend
Everybody wants a little romance
Everybody’s goin’ off the deep end
Everybody needs a second chance, oh
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on baby lets go
Everyone’s looking to see if it was you
Everyone wants you to come through
Everyone’s hoping it’ll all work out
Everyone’s waiting they’re holding out
Everybody’s working for the weekend
Everybody wants a little romance
Everybody’s goin’ off the deep end
Everybody needs a second chance, oh
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on baby lets go
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on baby lets go
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on baby lets go
