An AI-generated version of Elvis Presley just recently hit the virtual stage in London this year, with additional performances scheduled for Las Vegas, Berlin, and Tokyo.
After the success of ABBA’s Voyage production and Kiss’s statement that the band will continue in avatar form, Layered Reality is creating a digital rendition of the King, titled Elvis Evolution.
According to the company’s website:
“The show peaks with a concert experience that will recreate the seismic impact of seeing Elvis live for a whole new generation of fans, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.”
For the first time on a U.K. stage, a life-sized digital Elvis will showcase his most iconic songs and moves. Utilizing AI and cutting-edge technology, spectators can relive significant moments from Elvis Presley’s remarkable life and career as if they were truly present.
Elvis Avatar Show Promises to Recreate the Icon’s Life and Era
The event will feature multimodal effects, live theater, augmented reality, and holographic projection, according to company CEO Andrew McGuinness, who spoke with the BBC. With the use of these components, viewers will be able to relive Elvis Presley’s meteoric rise to fame, his legendary character, and the cultural waves he created in the 1950s and 1960s.
McGuinness emphasized that Elvis Evolution seeks to be a modern tribute to the musical legend, enabling attendees to immerse themselves in Elvis’s world and walk in his shoes.
