He’s Doing His Part To Prevent Coronavirus Spread

Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson just returned from a holiday vacation with his grandkids and he took to social media to announce that he and his family are going to self-quarantine for 14 days to minimize the risk of spreading the virus. And he also asked for Netflix recommendations.

He wrote on Rush’s official social media channels: “Just returned from spring break with my grandkids. We are all self quarantining for 14 days. All travellers should. Looking forward to getting caught up on Netflix! Send your top viewing suggestions.”

The Coronavirus disease has infected more than 180,000 people all over the globe. The World Health Organization recommends several measures to prevent infection spread – regular handwashing with soap and water or alcohol-based hand scrub, cooking meat and eggs thoroughly, not touching the mouth, eyes, and nose, covering the mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing, and maintaining at least three feet distance from anyone who’s sneezing or coughing.

Numerous events and tours have been cancelled because of the pandemic. Some were moved to a later date, such as the Coachella Festival which will be held on October instead of April. Other rock acts have postponed their shows too.
