Guaranteed To Make You Smile

Adam Lambert’s journey from being an American Idol contestant to fronting the legendary Queen alongside Brian May and Roger Taylor will be explored in a two-hour documentary film titled “The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story.” It aired last April 29 on ABC and in this short clip, we can see Lambert harmonizing with May and Taylor backstage prior to their concert.

One thing we love about this is how it starts off with a footage of late frontman Freddie Mercury doing the same thing. It’s giving us major nostalgia.

“It’s very much like in the old days. We get together in the band room and we do harmonies – that’s what we do before a show. It oils up your vocal cords and it locks you in. You hear the other people and you rediscover how your voice fits into that structure; and I think it’s quite valuable for us to do that.” – Brian May

Lambert’s been with the band for ten years now after a supposedly one-off appearance with them during the 2009 season run of American Idol. Following the success of the 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen + Adam Lambert have announced their North American tour dates starting this summer.
