At just 9 years old, Emily is playing a professional level, even being invited to play with the Mrs. Jones Revenge band to cover one of the Beatles greatest songs, “Come Together.”

“One thing I can tell you is you got to be free. Come together, right now, over me.”

This song was originally John Lennon’s attempt to create a campaign piece for Timothy Leary, a famous psychologist that promoted the use of LSD, when he ran for Governor of California. The idea for this song actually came from Leary’s campaign slogan “Come Together, Join the Party” which did not work out in his favor regarding the election, but it sure did lead to a great and iconic song for the Beatles. 

Fun Fact: In 1969, this won a Grammy for best engineered recording.

In this clip, Emily is simply rocking her heart out using her drums as a tool of expression for her love of music. We feel such joy and inspiration whenever we come across such talented youth that dedicate hard work and time to perfecting their craft with passion and commitment.
