On August 17, 1991, AC/DC headlined the Monsters of Rock festival for the third time – they were part of the lineup in 1981 and 1984. They played in front of 72,500 concertgoers during their two-hour show at Donington Park in Castle Donington, England. Other rock legends on the bill include Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Queensrÿche, and The Black Crowes.

A recording of their concert was released on October 26, 1992 in VHS, November 3, 2003 in DVD, and on October 16, 2007 in Blu-ray.

In this particular gig, AC/DC members were already considered veteran rockers and yet, they could still bring the house down. Not only did they survive the transition from the ’80s to the ’90s but they brought with them the same energy and brand of hard rock that won them millions of fans in their heyday.
