Vinnie Vincent Breaks His Silence With His First New Song in Decades

Former Kiss guitarist Vinnie Vincent has revealed plans to release a new song called “Ride the Serpent,” his first original recording in more than two decades. The comeback, however, comes with an unusually high cost and a very limited release.

According to a statement on his official website, the song will only be issued on CD, with just 1,000 copies produced—half allocated to the U.S. and half to international buyers. Each CD will cost $200, plus $25 shipping within the U.S. or $100 for international shipping. Every copy will be hand-numbered and personally signed by Vincent. The single launches his new Vinnie Vincent Invasion Master Series.

Vincent described “Ride the Serpent” as an almost eight-minute, high-energy guitar-driven track. The recording features Vincent on guitar and bass, former Kiss vocalist Robert Fleischman on vocals, and Keary Jordan on drums.

Reason Behind the Unusual Release Strategy

In a Facebook post dated December 1, Vincent explained that the limited and expensive format is intended to prevent unauthorized copying of his music. He acknowledged fan complaints about the price but said his work is highly sought after and vulnerable to being pirated immediately upon release. While he admitted the situation is difficult, he expressed hope that fans would understand the reasoning behind his decision.

Album Plans Ahead

“Ride the Serpent” is the first single from Vincent’s upcoming album, Judgement Day Guitarmageddon. He plans to release each track from the album using the same limited-edition CD approach.

The single is currently available for preorder. Vincent’s website states that all CDs will ship at once if the full 1,000 copies are sold. If that goal is not reached by February 28, 2026, all payments will be refunded through PayPal. Vincent also noted that once the sales target is met, additional songs will be released one at a time on individual discs, with more special releases planned for long-time fans.
